Strong Children

These are my boys, Jacob, 5, and Christopher, 3, and they steal my heart every day. After 11 years of marriage and two kids, I’m convinced even more that the home is the most important place of personal formation and incubator of potential on Earth.

I’ve been teaching/leading people of all ages for the past 20 years and one thing is clear: change doesn’t happen easily. People are deeply scripted in their beliefs and ways, and the source of these scripts inevitably goes back to their childhood and their parents. Most of people’s adult lives are spent trying to erase or enhance what their parents believed about them and said to them, which means we must spend quality time/energy on the front end creating good and beautiful scripts in our kids’ hearts, rather than on the tail end repairing broken ones.
